The Mahogany Stylist
Purple and Orange are two of my favourite colours. Each are bold and vibrant. I like carrying these colors and hope so as to add more pink and orange to my wardrobe through the fall and winter seasons. So right now, I’m pleased to share my latest dress made with tomato red (pink-orange colour) ponte knit. This is my sample assessment.
Sample: Vogue 9239
Sample Description: Fitted bodice dresses have front and back princess seams, full or slim skirt, and sleeve variations. Separate sample items are included for cup sizes A, B, C, D.
Pattern Sizing: sizes 6 – 22; I used 14 neck/shoulder, sixteen by way of bust space, and 14 skirt.
Did it look like the photograph/drawing on the sample envelope when you were executed sewing with it? Yes, the design lines are like the drawing and the photographed dress.
Have been the instructions easy to observe? The directions have been typical; nothing confusing about them. A few of the construction processes I did not do. Later on those details.
What did you notably like or dislike concerning the pattern? I love the sleeve and skirt variations. Having the a number of cup measurement possibility and the princess seams are nice too. It’s easier to make fit adjustments.
